Meet our lovable Pets of the Week looking for their forever homes at the Eurobodalla Animal Welfare League!
Dog of the week: Sonny
Ten-month-old American Staffy Sonny is a playful, curious bundle of love.
Typical of his breed, Sonny is smart, strong and incredibly loyal, with a heart that’s all in for his people.
Sonny came into care because his owner did not have the time to give to him, which a people-focused dog like Sonny needs. Sonny has had basic training but is keen to learn more.
This pup comes house-trained.
He’s house-trained, affectionate and full of fun.
Sonny’s ideal home will be with an experienced owner who will guide him with consistent training, clear boundaries and plenty of positive reinforcement.
Sonny needs a home where he is the only pet, so all his energy and affection can be focused on his people.
This boy has mountains of potential and is ready to join his lifelong family and bring joy to them every day.
Sonny’s microchip number is 991003002410379, and AWL’s Rehoming Organisation Number is R251000222.
Hazel’s looking for a soft place to lay her head — and she’s happily lived with other cats and dogs before.
Cat of the week: Hazel
At two years of age, Hazel has made quite a journey.
It’s taken time, but this girl has gone from a scared street stray struggling to raise babies on her own to a soft, curious little house cat who’s finally learning what safety and love feel like.
She’s still a little unsure, but the way she leans in to her foster mum for affection shows how much love she has to give, once she has the confidence.
Hazel has lived all her life with other cats and will be happiest in a home with other felines.
She’s gentle, calm and incredibly kind with cats and kittens. She has also lived happily with a large, cat-friendly dog. Hazel has been through a lot.
Hazel has a heart of gold and plenty of love to give.
When given a home full of patience, kindness and a gentle voice, her heart of gold will respond in kind.
Hazel deserves a home that will give her the time and love she needs to blossom even more.
She is still scared of new faces, so building her trust takes time, but if you are willing to give her that, you will have a beautiful cat that will bring you joy and be your loving companion.
Hazel’s microchip number is 991003002520788, and you can read about her on the AWL NSW website.
As with all AWL pets, Sonny and Hazel come desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. Call AWL on 0410 016 612 to arrange a meeting.
Some good news! Previously advertised pet Medusa has found a wonderful home.
