With Easter approaching, comes a change in the bin collection routine for some Snowy Monaro residents.

The Good Friday public holiday will affect households and businesses who would normally receive a waste and recycling kerbside collection on a Friday.

Snowy Monaro Regional Council advises that there will be no bin collections on Good Friday – Friday, April 19, but there is a plan B.

Residents and businesses in Bredbo, Cooma, Jindabyne, Michelago and Nimmitabel who normally receive a collection on a Friday, will instead get their scheduled bin pick up on Thursday, April 18, one day earlier.

Locals are asked to put their bins out the night before, rather than on the morning itself, to avoid missing out on the collection.

All other areas of the Snowy Monaro’s kerbside collection service will not be affected and will run as scheduled, including all collections set down for Easter Monday, April 22.

Council thanks the community for their understanding.
