An alleged member of a bikie gang has been arrested north of Goulburn and been accused of impersonating a former soldier with the Australian Defence Force (ADF).

A NSW Police spokesperson said the bikie-busting Raptor Squad established Strike Force Benson in August 2025 to investigate criminal activity involving the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang.

During the investigation, police learned a suspected member of the gang had allegedly identified himself as a former ADF member.

The police spokesperson said detectives, with the help of the ADF, determined the man had no records of military service with any branch of the defence force.

Members of the Raptor Squad then arrested the 41-year-old man in Peelwood, a rural locality about 85 km north of Goulburn, on Tuesday (21 April).

He was charged with one count of falsely representing to be a returned soldier, sailor or airman.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court on Wednesday (29 April) where he entered a plea of not guilty to his charge.

The man remains on bail and the matter will return to court on 17 June.
